Guitar Lessons

Our 10 week courses are designed to ensure your best possible progress. They are divided into 3 levels, Foundation, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and our new Blues Masterclass. The success of the lessons speak for themselves, with 100's of students who have achieved what they never thought they could! Many of our students are still with us, and have been for more than 2 years, others feel as though they never need any more than the first 10 weeks!

The ideal entry point for kids who want to take up the guitar! Each lesson is tailored for young players covering all the skills they need to progress with their instrument. All the course notes are written clearly and are easy to understand. By the end of the first 10 weeks all the kids that have taken this course of lessons are able to strum through a range of modern and classic songs, read TAB style sheet music, understand chord charts and basic music theory and have a better understanding of timing and rhythm! All this WHILST HAVING A LOT OF FUN!

The perfect introduction to learning the guitar! Learn all the basic skills you need to competently play through all your favourite songs. Learn in a relaxed, fun and supportive environment that helps guarantee your best possible progress. Our beginners lessons are designed to get the most out of your playing in a short amount of time. In only 10 weeks you will be bale to strum along to modern and classic songs, with a range to suit every taste of music. You will be able to read and play TAB sheet music, you will have a better understanding of the guitar and even be able to compose your own songs if you wish! You will be amazed the progress you will make in just 10 weeks, and you will enjoy the ride too!

The intermediate lessons are structured around 5 modules to ensure your best progress…

• GUITAR GYM: Technical Exercises to increase your speed and accuracy.
• SCALES: Learn how to improvise and create your own solos! Learn from the best and discover the 'nuts & bolts' of classic solos, how they were written and what shapes they used!
• CHORDS: Unlock the whole neck! Our chord module leaves no stone unturned, you will literally be able to play every chord there is!
• THEORY: Our theory module covers all the material you need to have a true understanding of how music works. Essential!
• SONGS: Learn to play and perform classic songs! Discover how classic artists create their sound, what they do and how they do it!

A lot of intermediate players cannot progress in their playing because they lack structure to their practice. Our lessons put the structure back in your learning. We cut away all the useless information that you simply don't need, and focus on the content that will get your playing improving fast! Want something a bit more flexible? No problem! All of the tutors at BGA are extremely experienced and can happily put together a custom course designed for you. if you are an advanced player and want to further your skills then we also have specialist tutors who can help you in certain areas such as advanced rock guitar, advanced blues guitar, advanced metal guitar and we also have an entry level jazz course for any aspiring jazz musicians!

We have put together a blues course for you guys that want nothing more than to play the blues. The course is divided into these elements...

• PENTATONIC MASTERCLASS: Taking those basic pentatonic shapes and turning them into your blues weapon!
• CHORDS: Learning how to play blues chords all over the neck
• THEORY & I IV V: Learning the progression of the blues, and how to expand on the basic sounds
• LICKS: Learning the same way all the blues players did, listening to others playing, and borrowing some ideas!
• SONGS: Finally we will be putting the theory into practice by learning a selection of the greatest blues tunes out there, played by the greatest blues players
